Want To Make Money From Home Quickly? Offer A Service (part 1)

June 25th, 2009

People constantly ask me how they can start earning a steady income from home relatively quickly. The inevitable answer is to try providing a service that is in demand.

Recently, one of our members told us she has been working her candle business for over a year with little return and 2 days after starting her V.A. (virtual assistant) business, she was profitable.

Not surprising at all. She had some connections and was able to find business owners that needed her help. She fulfilled a need and was paid for her time.

If you are still struggling with the online business thing and need to put food on the table or have extra funds to invest in your business, you can offer a service too.

If you are going to start a service-based business and want to get it going right away, I’d recommend the following:

1. Choose something where you likely have access to a client base.

For example, if you want to be a VA and already have a bunch of Internet business owners, you might have a pool of interested people. That doesn’t mean you can’t start from scratch in something that interests you, but realize it might take longer to get up and running.

2. Set up a website right away.

Even if it is a basic website that tells people why they need your service and a way to contact you, get that up right away. As a home business owner, you need to have an office where people can visit you. Your website is your office. You can tweak and improve it later.

3. Ask people for referrals.

If you know somebody might be in touch with your ideal client base, ask for referrals. Also, ask the clients you acquire for referrals. Satisfied clients are an amazing source of new clientele.

4. Do a great job, but don’t overload yourself.

Remember, you are getting paid for the time you work with your clients, but a business has other obligations as well. You need to schedule time (or hire someone) for administrative tasks, marketing, etc.

The only thing to consider now is that if you start a service-based business, you’ve set yourself up with a JOB that you do from home. In part 2 of this article, you’ll find tips to turn your home job into a full-fledged business.

Who is oppressed? Muslim women or Secular women?

June 25th, 2009

I think secular befits all those Muslim and Non-Muslim women who do not practice Islam. Because Islam means Submission of one's will to Allah. We practice Islam on Allah's terms and conditions not on our terms and conditions.

1.A Muslim woman gets education of both types i.e. religious and secular education. It is compulsory in Islam. A Secular woman gets only secular education which means she is less educated than a Muslim woman.

2. A Muslim woman inherits and owns property. She can buy and sell property of her own. It is totally her property. She is not obliged to share it with anyone but if she wills. A Secular woman has to share her belongings and property with her family.

3. A Muslim woman can do jobs if she maintains her Hijaab i.e. wearing Islamic dress and doing those jobs which do not have mixing of both genders. Islam believes in segregation of genders. But it depends on her will. If she does not want to do job and want to look after home and family, no body has a right to ask or force her to do job. But a Secular woman is bound to do job no matter if she is single or married or she has kids.

4. A Muslim woman does not have to share her income if she works outside the home. It is totally her earning and depends on her where she wants to spend it. No body can ask or force her to spend it, even on her own self. Her financial responsibility will be on her father or brother if she is not married or on her husband or son if she is married even though if she makes money more than her husband, father , brother etc. But a Secular woman is bound to do job and spend money not only on herself but also on family.

How come could you say that Muslim women are oppressed?

Internet Marketing Consultant in Philadelphia?

June 25th, 2009

I am trying to find an Internet Marketing Consultant in Philadelphia. I recall seeing a video on YouTube with a local consultant but I cannot find that video anymore.

I am looking for internet marketing services such as SEO, PPC, etc.

If someone can provide some suggestions or if they can give me the URL to the YouTube video I came across - that would be great.

Thanks,

Bobby

I believe the YouTube video you are looking for can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1ZMEdXbgqQ

YouTube has a search feature in which you can type in your keywords and then sort by Date Added or Relevance based on your phrase or how recent the video had been added.

Houses vs. Condos?

June 25th, 2009

What are pros and cons of each?

I'd prefer a house but we can't afford one, we're more likely to afford a condo, i'd rather start a family in a condo than an apartment. if that makes sense (getting married in 65 days!)
I live in columbus ohio. I'm seeing some condo's with 60.00 fees a month, i think the HIGHEST i've seen was 300.00

but i've seen nice condos for 60,000
and those houses that are that much..are major in need of TLC and i know we can't afford to put alot of tlc money into a house at one time.

Move to the suburbs and buy a house for half the price!

What is the total cost to putting a manufactured home on land?

June 25th, 2009

My husband and I are exploring our house oppotunities since we kinda have a low budget. We have found manufactured homes for about $70,000 but obviously you have to buy land and then the sewer, well, and whatnot. If the house is $70,000 and we find land for $20,000…how much more will it cost to connect water, sewer, and electricity to the house? Any estimates or have you done this?

That land needs sewer, water, electricity and the house needs a foundation, driveway These costs can add up to 50k

Is there a way to fix corrupted Windows files without the software disk?

June 25th, 2009

I got various viruses the messed up my computer. I now cannot access certain Windows features such as Control Panel, Properties, etc. I used Run: sfc/scannow and it said WIndows files had been replaced by unrecognized versions and needed to restore original settings using the Windows disk. I do not have the disk, and I was wondering if there was a way to fix this problem without the disk?

No, you will need a Windows XP disc for sure.
